Tomas Kral

Tomas Kral launched his studio in Lausanne in 2009. He draws his inspiration from traditions and seeks to breathe a touch of the unexpected, humor and freshness into his objects.

In collaboration with HARTÔ, Tomas developed the Lubin wall mirror. This graphic element in the form of a "circumflex" is a small nod to the "Ô" of HARTÔ. Kral graduated from the Ecole cantonale d'art de Lausanne (ECAL) where he obtained a bachelor's degree in industrial design in 2006 and a postgraduate degree in design in 2008. In 2009, he completed his training with a one-year MAS design and luxury industry diploma at ECAL. His work has been honored with awards such as the "Leitz innovation & design award" in Germany, the Federal Design Award in March 2010 in Bern, or the Red Dot Design Award in 2018.
